SUBSTRATE MIXING FORMULATIONS FOR CITRUS NURSERY MANAGEMENT
نویسندگان
چکیده
The length of citrus seedling development is determined by several factors, including the physical and chemical qualities substrate, which affect rootstock growth and, as a result, quality field seedlings. purpose this study was to see how ‘Swingle’ citrumelo developed with different substrate formulations. experiment carried out in nursery from seeding grafting, six treatments were out, follows: 60% peat moss, 30% fine grade horticultural vermiculite, 10% rice hulls (1); (2); 50% 20% (3); (4); (5); (6). In addition, divided into two stages: (stage 1) 2). completely randomized design, has treatments, four replications, 51 plants per plot. When container transplanting performed, emergence percentage seedlings determined; thus, eight plot examined. For second stage, used design 6 formulations, 4 20 Stem height, stem diameter, leaf number, area meter, root dry matter, index measured on every 28 days. All formulations improved until except for hulls, hampered ‘Swingle' citrumelo.

Diet mixing time affects nursery pig performance.
The objective of this study was to determine the effects of mixing time (mixer efficiency) of diets containing several low-inclusion ingredients (crystalline AA, ZnO, a medication, and vitamin and trace mineral premixes) on growth performance of nursery pigs. In a pilot study, mixing efficiency of a 1,360-kg capacity, horizontal ribbon mixer was evaluated with salt of different particle sizes (...
متن کاملEpidemiology of Citrus tristeza virus in nursery blocks of Citrus macrophylla and evaluation of control measures
The control of Citrus tristeza virus (CTV), the causal agent of tristeza disease, is essential to guarantee a productive citrus industry. The specific features of a nursery block make the control of the natural spread of viruses transmitted by vectors more difficult. Thus, the knowledge of the epidemiology of CTV in nursery blocks is basic to the design control strategies of the disease. Two ex...
متن کاملBest Management Practices for Florida Citrus
Best management practices (BMPs) started in Florida citrus (Citrus spp.) in the 1990s and have evolved to play a major role in production practices today. One of the earliest BMPs in Florida arose from concerns over nitrate-nitrogen concentrations in some surfi cial groundwater aquifers exceeding the 10 mg·L–1 drinking water standard. This occurred in an area of well-drained sandy soils known a...
متن کاملStreptomycin and Copper Formulations for Control of Citrus Canker on Grapefruit
Control of citrus canker (caused by Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri) on grapefruit is required to reduce blemishes on fresh fruit. The objective was to evaluate formulations, rates, duration of residues for copper materials, combinations of copper materials and streptomycin, and application timing for effective canker control on young, fruiting grapefruit trees. Copper applications were made at ...

Aspiration of foreign bodies occur in infants and children frequently. Regarding hazards of this important accident that may sometimes lead to death and the necessity of an urgent management, knowledge of nursery instructors on this issue was studied. A questionnaire was designed by the investigators that included questions about methods for removal of foreign bodies and C.P.R and filled by all...
